Atlanta, Georgia

Atlanta is the largest city in the state of Georgia, and is also the state's capital. Located in north/central Georgia, Atlanta is home to over 10 Fortune 500 companies. As of 2005, the Atlanta Metropolitan area was ranked third behind New York and Houston on the list of cities with the most Fortune 500 headquarters. Atlanta has the highest average elevation of any major city east of Denver.
