DeKalb County, Georgia
DeKalb County is the third largest county in the state of Georgia with the city of Decatur as its county seat. The county was named after Baron Johann DeKalb who was a major general in the Continental Army and accompanied LaFayette to America.

There is a bunch of fun activities in DeKalb County, a home of one of the most popular attractions in United States – the Stone Mountain Park. Four million people visit the park each year to admire the largest exposed piece of granite in the world with the Confederate Memorial Carving.
Stone Mountain Park is filled with many attractions and shows like the abundance of rides on land, water or both, laser shows and variety of concerts and festivals. Covering over 3,200 acres of land, the park is also a great place to jog, hike or walk on over 15 miles of nature trails. There are many quiet and secluded areas for picnicking and enjoying nature.
